Uhh, first off, the most important news...[screams]
PHANTOM is coming back to CLEVELAND, OH !! In July/August 2010! Holy crap! It's been there 5 or 6 years ago, which was before I even got in to Phantom. I've had to drive 2 1/2 to 3 to 4 hours to see Phantom, and to only have to drive 45 min.? Omigosh. And I already bought the tickets for the stage show in Dayton, OH! (3+ hours away!)

I guess I'll just have to go to both!

I'm going to be
dirt poor and
flat broke but I'll be a happy hobo, I guess.
What I'm working on right now...Costumes: I am almost completed with a stage dressing gown made out of satin and a heck of a lot of lace & details that I shall put up on eBay as a Halloween costume, and hopefully get rich off of it. I've probably spent somewhere between 20-40 hours on it and it's GORGEOUS.
I'm also making a PotO movie dressing gown - The corset is done, and so is the sheer overlay that goes over the corset. I have both the pattern and fabric for the robe part, but no fabric or pattern for the skirt yet.
Halloween! Yard Decorations If you liked my 10-ft Jack Skellington last year, you're going to freak out this year. I really got out the power tools and went to work this year. I built 3 sections of fence, which are 8-ft wide and 4.5-ft / 3 ft. tall, with decorative pieces on the tall posts and spikes/fleur-de-lis on the shorter ones. I also built an 8-ft tall 'arch'way but it has a square top instead of a round one. It will have a HUGE furry spider on top, which I need to make, and a head wrapped in gauze, hanging down from the top of the 'arch'way, slowly spinning, like the spider is spinning it in his web. That all goes in the front of the yard. In the actual yard, there will be gravestones; on the flower beds, there will be lighted Jack-O-Lanterns [like last year], and Jack Skellington will be in the back - with ZERO this year (still has to be built). It's a huge project but I'm having a lot of fun with it. Also going broke.
Other newsSchool Whoever thought up Accounting needs to die! ... And I'm actually liking my Public Speaking course. I know how to speak well, but listening to others is fun... and right now, I'm preparing a speech where we must introduce a famous person, dead or alive, and I picked Lon Chaney (Sr.). Wanted to learn more about his life, and it was really interesting! Can't wait to share it. ...
Q U O T E / P O E M . O F . T H E . W E E K"INVICTUS"
Out of the night that covers me,
Black as the Pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
For my unconquerable soul.
In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.
Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the Horror of the shade,
And yet the menace of the years
Finds, and shall find, me unafraid.
It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll,
I am the master of my fate:
I am the captain of my soul.
